What is MusicStart?
It is the first 100% digital protection service for music. This service, totally new in the world, allows to prove the authorship of a musical creation in a secure and transparent way. In simple terms, it allows every artist to protect their music.
How does it work?
MusicStart works thanks to the blockchain. As a reminder, blockchain is a technology for storing and transmitting information. It will allow you to certify the anteriority of your works for life.
Why use it?
First of all, it is very easy to use. Indeed, the process is done online and in a few clicks. You just have to follow the guide available directly on the SACEM website. The latter is a trusted third party and guarantees the security of each of your works.
Another advantage of this platform is that it constitutes a proof of anteriority through a certificate valid for life and registered on a blockchain.
How much does it cost?
You can find two packages to use Music Start:
- The unitary offer at €3.99 with pay-per-use. It allows you to protect a single work, i.e. one file per recording.
- The unlimited offer at 4,99 euros per month, without commitment. This offer allows you to protect as many works as you want. You can use several files per work.
